Recognition is about acknowledging contributions and accomplishments of members and the chapter. Recognition methods and events ensure all members know how important they are and should be built into every chapter project and activity. Recognition can be as simple as a heartfelt, face-to-face “thank you” or as elaborate as a formal banquet. Recognition has an important role in your membership campaign. Many students are motivated by the opportunity to earn recognition, and FCCLA offers plenty of ways for both individuals and chapters to be recognized. When recruiting new members, be sure to highlight their accomplishments.
Chapter Awards
Utah FCCLA offers the following state level awards for all affiliated chapters.
Four Star Chapter
The Four Star Chapter Award was developed to recognize chapters that were developing a program of work that incorporates the eight purposes of FCCLA into their chapter activities. The goal of this application process is to reduce the amount of work that has been required previously, and still allow for chapters to receive National and State Recognition.
