    ​Utah FCCLA Chapter Member/Officer of the Year

    ​Criteria for Nomination:
    Chapter Officer of the year is on who consistently:
    - Demonstrates a strong commitment to Family Career and Community Leaders of America and Family and Consumer Sciences.
    - Promotes growth and involvement of the chapter
    - Participates in the implementation of the chapter’s program of work
    - Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment to FCCLA
    - Has served in a chapter officer role for 1 year
    - Is enrolled or has taken at least one FACS class this year

    Member of the Year is one who consistently: 
    - Demonstrates a strong commitment to Family Career and Community Leaders of America and Family and Consumer Sciences.
    - Promotes growth and involvement of the chapter
    - Participates in the implementation of the chapter’s program of work
    - Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment to FCCLA
    - Has been affiliated for 1 school year
    - Is enrolled or has taken at least one FACS class this year

    4 Star Chapter

    ​The Four Star Chapter Award was developed to recognize chapters that were developing a program of work that incorporates the eight  purposes of  FCCLA into their chapter activities.  The goal of this application process is to reduce the amount of work that has been required previously, and still allow for chapters to receive National and State Recognition.  Your documentation needs to be in order from 1-37, with a title and supporting evidence on the same page. This will help the speed the time it takes to check it.   Thank you for your willingness to promote FCCLA in your Chapter, School, and Community. 

    School Information

    In order to qualify for a One Star Chapter and receive recognition at state you must complete the following:

    In order to qualify for a Three Star Chapter you must complete the basic requirements of a One and Two Star Chapter. In addition, you must complete the following:
    In order to qualify for a Two Star Chapter you must complete the basic requirements of a One Star Chapter. In addition, you must complete the following:

    In order to qualify for a Four Star Chapter you must complete the basic requirements of a One, Two and Three Star Chapter. In addition, you must complete the following:

    Use a copy of your affiliation form dated before Sept. 30th. For recognition.
    Send documentation of what you did for your STEP One Activity
    Chapter recognition of its members. Document what you do in your individual chapter to recognize members
    Participate in National FCCLA Week February

    Complete the online National Power of One recognition application for each eligible student by March 1st. http://fcclainc.org/programs/power-of-one.php
    Enroll graduating senior members in the state or national Alumni and Associates Membership Program. http://fcclainc.org/membership/alumni--associates.php
    Complete a Utah FCCLA State Officer application and run a Utah FCCLA State Officer Candidate at State Conference.
    Nominate your FCCLA Adviser for the "FCCLA Adviser of the Year" or "FCCLA New Adviser of the Year"
    Your Chapter Adviser completes the National FCCLA Adviser Mentor application
    Send an article to the Utah FCCLA State Newsletter. utahfccla@gmail.com
    Attended and participated in NLC
    Integrate FCCLA in your classroom besides STEP ONE. Document what you did and the class.
    Do an activity with another CTSO in your School
    Use FCCLA branding to put an article in the local or school newspaper, billboard, radio or television. Develop an FCCLA bulletin board or display case to encourage membership. Present FCCLA or FACS to the school board. http://fcclainc.org/news--media/fccla-logos.php
    Save a copy of your Leadership Registration form to use.
    National award: Awards will be granted to the top three individuals who recruit the MOST members. The chapter award will go to the chapter that increases membership by the largest percentage.Complete an application.     Participate in Utah FCCLA Region Activity
    Attend Utah FCCLA Region Competition. Registration form, program, etc.
    Complete a chapter project using the national program Families First and complete the National Application for recognition by March 1st. http://fcclainc.org/programs/families-first.php
    Complete a chapter project using the national program Leadership Service in Action and complete the National Application for recognition by March 1st. http://fcclainc.org/programs/leadership-service-in-action.php
    Complete a chapter project using the units in the national program Student Body and complete the National Application for recognition by March 1st. http://fcclainc.org/programs/student-body.php
    Apply for the Japanese Exchange National Program by sending in an application to Nationals. http://fcclainc.org/programs/japanese-exchange.php
    Plan and carry-out a chapter activity that was not included in any of the other requirements for a Four-Star Chapter.
    Donate to the National IMPACT Fund
    Complete a National FCCLA Officer Application and run a National FCCLA Officer Candidate at State Conference.
    Complete All the Utah FCCLA State Goals
    Your chapter adviser completes the National FCCLA Master Adviser application
    Your Chapter Adviser completes the National FCCLA Adviser Mentor application
